Scrap Import and Export

The Communiqué on Standardization in Foreign Trade (2011/23) Regarding Metal Scrap Imports, Concerning Metal Scraps Kept under Control for the Protection of the Environment, entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 29.12.2010 and numbered 27800 (5th Repeat).

Scrap metals can only be imported by industrialists who process metal scraps by melting them, and by industrialists who apply pre-treatment to increase the quality and density of metal scraps by breaking them down and reducing their size, and who have obtained a license or temporary work permit from the Ministry for this purpose.
